Joe McFerron – Owner/Operator

Joe’s path into plumbing was built through formal education, hands-on training, and licensure.

He began his technical training while still in high school at Nichols Career Center in Jefferson City, Missouri, where he studied plumbing fundamentals and the mechanical trades. He went on to attend the State Technical College of Missouri (formerly Linn Tech), earning an Associate's Degree in HVAC Technology, which provided him with a strong foundation in mechanical systems, diagnostics, and building science.

During his time at State Tech, Joe completed an internship with Frank Schrimpf Plumbing, where he discovered his preference for plumbing over HVAC. That internship led to years of hands-on field experience, where he earned both his Journeyman Plumber License and later his Master Plumber License in the state of Missouri.

In July 2021, Joe opened Joe McFerron Plumbing, operating as a fully licensed master plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC).

After relocating to New Mexico in January of 2025, Joe tested and passed under the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) to become a licensed New Mexico Contractor, the state’s equivalent of a master plumber. Today, Joe is licensed and experienced under both IPC and UPC, allowing him to work confidently across code jurisdictions and complex residential systems.

Joe remains an owner-operator who stays directly involved in diagnosing problems, designing solutions, and ensuring every installation meets code and long-term performance standards.
